Kings Dominion

Kings Dominion is a theme park in Doswell, Virginia 20 miles (30 km) north of Richmond and 75 miles (120 km) south of Washington, D.C., off Interstate 95. The 400-acre (1.6 km2) park opened on May 3, 1975, and is currently owned by Cedar Fair and offers over 60 rides, shows and attractions including 13 roller coasters and a 20-acre (81,000 m2) water park. The name given to the park is derived from the name of its sister park, Kings Island, and the nickname for the state of Virginia, "Old Dominion".

Anaconda

Get wrapped in the coils and be prepared to drop 144 feet into the depths of the Anaconda. You'll be rocketed through 2,700 feet of track at speeds up to 50 miles per hour through an underwater tunnel, vertical loops, sharp twists and turns. Long-time favorite of park visitors and roller coaster enthusiasts alike. Anaconda was the first looping roller coaster in the world to feature an underwater tunnel. Riders are sent through a 360-degree vertical loop after exiting the underwater tunnel. One of the most photographed rides at Kings Dominion.

White Water Canyon

Cool off as you challenge this white water, raging river rapids adventure. Fun for the entire family! One of the best water raft rides in the amusement/theme park industry. As close as many will come to experiencing white water rafting. White Water Canyon is never the same ride twice. Every ride is a different experience.

WindSeeker

Knock on the door of the stratosphere on WindSeeker! Standing 301 feet, WindSeeker sends you soaring 30 stories above the park on a breathtaking tower swing ride like no other.It's a ride that families can enjoy riding together.On a clear day, riders on WindSeeker can see 18 miles out into the region.

Carousel

Grab the reins of your favorite horse and prepare to ride the classic Carousel with your family and friends. It is a tradition for many families to enjoy a ride together on the Carousel when they visit Kings Dominion.This attraction indulges your sense of nostalgia.One of the last wooden carousels left operating in the world.The ride features 66 beautiful carved horses, including Ruby, our special 40th Anniversary horse, featuring old-fashioned melodies played on a classic band organ.

Shenandoah Lumber Company

A splash-filled water adventure for guests of all ages as they float through an excursion in the wilderness with a splashdown ending. It's one of the most popular attractions at Kings Dominion. Fun for the entire family. Excursion experience includes navigating your way over a thrilling 40-foot waterfall.
