Welcome to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk!

The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is recognized as the best seaside park in the world. Our vibrant, bustling amusement park is renowned for its great rides, remarkable history, spectacular beach setting, and friendly attitude.

The Boardwalk has been operating since 1907, and it hasn’t missed a beat! We believe in affordable family fun - that’s why admission is free, summer entertainment is included, and ride tickets are affordable.

Two of our rides are National Historic Landmarks, but don’t let that fool you. The 1924 Giant Dipper wooden roller coaster still thrills riders with its hair-raising dips and turns and the Looff Carousel's unique ring toss provides a surprising challenge. Our indoor arcades offer the largest selection of games in Northern California with the latest video and redemption games, pinball machines, a vintage game collection, two-story miniature golf course, and laser tag arena. There's also a family bowling center right across the street.

Many people visit just for the food. Choices include corn dogs made from a secret family recipe, deep fried artichokes, chocolate covered bacon, and deep fried Twinkies!

The Boardwalk spans a wide sandy beach along Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary where it’s not unusual to see otters, dolphins, sea lions, and even whales swimming just offshore.

Everyone's favorite ride and one of America's top wooden coasters, the Giant Dipper is a must!Riders must be 50" to ride this ride.

Fireball

Thrilling disorientation at its finest! Fireball's powerful G-forces swing and spin riders to dizzy heights making this one of the most popular rides on the Boardwalk.Riders must be 48" to ride this ride.

Cliff Hanger

Enjoy the smooth sensation of hang gliding as you soar past the beach and over the Boardwalk on this aerodynamic ride!Riders must be 48" to ride this ride.

Sea Swings

Whatever your age, you'll feel like a kid when you swing out high over the beach with bare feet dangling and Monterey Bay glistening below.Riders under 48" to 42" can ride with chaperone.

Ferris Wheel

Take in amazing views of the Boardwalk and the sparkling ocean atop this classic amusement park ride!Riders under 48" can ride with chaperone. Child under 36" tall may ride free with a paid chaperone.

Sky Glider

Leave the crowd behind as you glide far above the Boardwalk in a private world with incredible views. A great way to take in all the sights, sounds, and smells of our classic seaside amusement park.Riders must be 48" to ride this ride.

Jet Copters

Stay on course as you pilot your own private helicopter through gentle ups and downs.56" maximum rider height.

Sea Dragons
